With Spring officially starting this week, it got me thinking about the concept of Spring cleaning. Oftentimes, a new season inspires us to clean our homes, re-organize our wardrobes, and even give our beauty routines a refresh. But, lately, I’ve been having deeper thoughts… about life, in general.
Sometimes we’re so busy being busy that we don’t even stop to think about how our daily routines affect us. However, the most successful and happiest people will agree that our daily habits are more important than we may realize. To follow your dreams and live your best life, you need to create a daily routine that boosts your mood and mindset.
To help you Spring clean your life, here are 3 tips to help you create a daily routine that invigorates and inspires you.
Tip # 1: Write in a journal every day
Over the past year, I decided to commit to writing every day, and it’s transformed how I think about my life. I now spend each morning writing in a gratitude journal. I wake up, with coffee in hand, and start writing about everything I’m appreciative of in my life.
This daily routine has not only made each day feel more fulfilling, but it’s also given me time to reflect on what matters to me. By consciously focusing on what we have and are grateful for, we end up feeling happier and more content.
Tip # 2: Spend time in nature
Whether you take a walk in the woods, head to the beach, or just sit on your patio and soak up the sunshine, try to spend more time in nature each day. Breathe the fresh air, notice the sounds of birds chirping, and look at the flowers and trees – just take it all in.
By spending more time in nature, you’ll not only reduce your mental anxiety and stress, but you’ll also feel more invigorated and energized. With the weather starting to warm up a bit, Spring is a great time to motivate yourself to go outdoors more often.
