The Lucky FABB Conference for fashion bloggers and beauty bloggers was held on April 4-5, 2014 at the swanky SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. Hosted by Lucky Magazine, the exclusive, invite-only event drew hundreds of hand-selected bloggers from around the country.
Lucky FABB Conference
The stylish 2-day conference brought together A-list celebrities (like January Jones of Mad Men) and supermodels (such as Coco Rocha and Karolina Kurkova), fashion industry executives (Sophia Amoruso from Nasty Gal, Hilary Peterson of Lyst, and Andy Griffiths of 7 For All Mankind), jewelry designers (Nicole Richie of House of Harlow), and top personal style bloggers and beauty vloggers (Wendy Nguyen of Wendy’s Lookbook, Aimee Song of Song of Style, and Ingrid Nilsen of MissGlamorazzi).
Touching on a variety of interesting subjects (from jewelry designing collaborations to digital marketing strategies), each of these notable speakers shared their personal experiences, insights, and candid stories with the attendees.
To set a positive tone for the Lucky Fabb conference, the event was moderated by Lucky Magazine’s newly-appointed Editor-in-Chief, Eva Chen, who’s friendly and welcoming personality made a big impression on all the bloggers in attendance.
The 3rd annual event (to be held on the West Coast) also attracted dozens of fashion, accessory, and beauty brands (such as P&G Beauty, Olay Fresh Effects, Covergirl, Miss Me Jeans, Pantene, and more), who were keen in getting the attention and engagement with these influential bloggers.
The attendees enjoyed the variety of activity stations (where they could get pampered, learn about new beauty techniques, and sample fabulous products). Brand experiences (like the P&G Beauty station, Caravelle New York, Poshmark, and Lucky Breaks Live), enabled the bloggers the opportunity to mix and mingle with key figures from each of these companies, and learn about how they could collaborate with the brands or score fabulous prizes. In addition to the activity stations, the Lucky FABB conference VIP attendees were treated to exclusive gifts and swag bags chock full of beauty and fashion products.
The conference provided a mixture of panel seminars and breakout sessions, which gave attendees the opportunity to hear a variety of experts speak about different subjects. Ranging from personal style sessions and video tutorials to digital marketing techniques and brand collaboration strategies, the bloggers were able to learn information that could help boost their blogging careers.
Since no conference is complete without a networking component, the second day of the conference gave attendees the chance to mix and mingle with one another at a beautifully-presented buffet brunch in the SLS Hotel courtyard. The brunch provided the bloggers with the opportunity to exchange ideas and helpful hints, and share their personal stories and learning lessons relative to blogging, brand collaborations, and more.
After the whirlwind 2-day extravaganza, the bloggers were pleasantly exhausted, and ready for some luxurious pampering at the Ciel Spa atop the SLS Hotel, compliments of the National Honey Board and the Lucky FABB Conference.
