Lucky FABB

On April 4th and 5th, Lucky Magazine (the illustrious shopping magazine beloved by fashionistas around the world), hosted it’s fifth Fashion & Beauty Blog Conference, known as the Lucky FABB Conference, at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. The highly-anticipated, two-day extravaganza drew hundreds of (hand-selected) fashion bloggers and beauty bloggers, in addition to renowned celebrities, fashion industry insiders, and magazine editors. The Lucky FABB Conference was segmented into one day of keynote speeches and panel discussions (featuring Drew Barrymore, Kelly Osbourne, and Betsey Johnson), and a second day of breakout sessions and brand experiences.

The panel discussions covered a range of vital topics that interest bloggers, from developing your authentic writing voice to learning the tools you need to grow your business. The panels featured illustrious fashion and beauty executives, including Gillian Gorman Round (SVP/GM of Lucky Magazine), Brandon Holley (Editor-in-Chief of Lucky Magazine), Jamie Gersch (Sr. Director for Gap), Hillary Kerr (Co-Founder of Who What Wear), Lalena Luba (VP of PR for BCBGMaxAzria Group), Mandana Dayani (VP of Rachel Zoe Inc.), and many other notable speakers.

In addition to the enlightening and inspiring discussions, three bloggers were selected to present a pitch to a panel of judges, to become the Lucky Magazine correspondent for New York Fashion Week. Each of the bloggers’ backgrounds were vastly different, ranging from plus size fashion blogging to beauty and make-up blogging. Ultimately, the winner who was chosen was Marie Denee, the blogger behind The Curvy Fashionista.

The breakout sessions included a number of interesting and relevant topics, ranging from learning tips about becoming a digital entrepreneur to learning beauty tips from the pros. Led by experts and industry insiders (including Andrea Chao, Director of Advertising for GUESS?, Leora Kadisha (CEO and Founder of StyledOn), Raman Kia (Executive Director of Integrated Strategy of Conde Nast Media Group), and other top experts.

After all the networking and informational sessions, the super-stylish attendees were treated to exclusive VIP after parties at the SLS Hotel, which were also attended by celebrities (including actresses Julianne Hough and Christa B. Allen). In addition to which, guests were given access to incredible gifting suites and activity stations (sponsored by AG Jeans, Julie Vos, P&G Beauty, ModClothTacori, JustFab, and several other top brands), and each received a LeSportsac duffle bag overflowing with goodies (including beauty products, purses, jewelry, and more).

All in all, the Lucky FABB Conference was quite possibly the most FABB-ulous conference any fashionista could ever attend!
