The History of Olay
In the 1950s, chemist Graham Wulff had the desire to help his wife, Dinah, when he saw how frustrated she was with the ineffective beauty creams that were available at the time.
She found that these skincare products left her skin looking greasy. To resolve this problem, Graham decided to create a new beauty product for her — one that could not only moisturize her skin, but also leave her feeling beautiful and feminine. After working together on this project, the duo finally came up with the now legendary Oil of Olay Beauty Fluid.
Since that time, the company has become a major success. And in 1985, the brand was acquired by Proctor & Gamble. Today, Olay continues to be one of the most recognizable brands in the world. Yet through all the changes and innovations, the philosophy upheld by Graham Wulff remains just as relevant as ever: Help women look and feel beautiful.
