Aside from sunscreen, if there was one holy grail beauty product that I couldn’t live without, it’d be a natural face oil. Whether you suffer from acne breakouts or dry, aging skin, natural face oils can help vastly improve the texture and appearance of your skin. Since I’m a big believer in using non-toxic, natural ingredients whenever possible, here are 3 of my current favorite natural face oils that reduce signs of acne and wrinkles.

What are natural face oils?

As reported in an article on Today.com, “Face oils are often plant-based, according to Cleveland Clinic dermatologist Dr. Jennifer Lucas, and are typically derived from the various parts of plants — flowers, leaves, roots, etc. And since they can include a range of potent ingredients, the potential benefits are endless. While they’re predominantly known for their hydrating properties, face oils can also aid your anti-aging routine and provide antibacterial and healing properties,” Lucas said.

Unlike man-made oils (which can clog pores and accelerate acne breakouts and wrinkles), natural face oils are designed to unclog pores, restore essential moisture to the skin, and combat free radicals. They are truly one of the most effective skincare products to incorporate into your daily routine, whether you want to have clear skin or more youthful-looking skin. Using natural face oils has been one of my biggest beauty secrets since I was a teenager. I honestly believe it’s helped to keep my skin looking younger and more radiant, which is why it’s a must-have in my routine.

LaFlore Longevity Barrier Repair Oil

Containing powerful natural ingredients such as turmeric, arnica, and hibiscus, avocado oil, and coconut oil, this non-toxic face oil from LaFlore Probiotic Skincare helps to fight inflammation and boost hydration. It also helps to repair the microbiome (which can get damaged from excessive exfoliation or other types of harsh treatments). This particular natural face oil was created to rejuvenate the skin while evening out any discoloration or dark spots. LaFlore is known for incorporating friendly bacteria (known as probiotics) into their line of natural skincare products. This helps your skin clear up existing breakouts and prevent future blemishes from developing, as it naturally combats acne-causing bacteria on the skin. I first started using their products several years ago, and have been impressed with the quality and efficacy of their line.
