How To Pack For A Trip

Most people love to travel, but with all the TSA requirements nowadays, from the weight limit on suitcases to the number of carry-on bags you can bring, packing can seem like a daunting experience. But have no fear! Featured here are top tips showing you how to pack for a trip.

How To Pack For A Trip:

Apparel

Rather than bringing a rainbow of colors that might or might not coordinate with each other, first pick a color theme for your apparel. Whether it’s red, white, and black or basic neutrals with a pop of color. This will enable you to get some more versatility and longevity out of each item, and create a wardrobe that works throughout your entire vacation.

Accessories

Another tip is to bring fun, bold easy-to-pack accessories, such as a multi-colored, patterned scarf. What’s great about an item like this, is it will keep you warm, won’t wrinkle, and picks up different colors in the outfits that you bring. Shoe clips are an often over-looked accessory that really changes the look of an outfit. From daytime to evening, you can change the look of a shoe in a second.

Jewelry

When packing for a trip, bring fashion jewelry, because you never want to lose a piece that’s incredibly valuable or expensive. Packing items that come from inexpensive stores (such as Forever 21 or H&M) enables you to look trendy, without being concerned that you’re going to have anything stolen or lost.

Shoes

Minimize the number of shoes that you bring. First, bring a comfortable pair of walking shoes (such as a wedge, espadrille, or ballet flat). And for evening, a pointed toe stiletto or an open-toed sandal is a great alternative.

By adhering to this easy-to-follow advice, you’ll always be the smart and stylish traveler, no matter where life takes you. Bon voyage!

  1. This is great! I’d love to see suggestions of what potential items that you would pack that for a 5 day trip for example, and how you would assemble them. But these tips are fantastic. I normally do monochromatic pieces with bright accessories that serve as my pops of color.

Hi Mega! Thanks for your comment. Sticking with neutral colors is always a wise choice. That’s why I suggest throwing in brightly colored accessories that are easy to pack.
