If you want to lose weight, get toned, or just be healthier in general, one of the easiest ways to drop the extra pounds is by changing up your diet.
Whenever I want to get leaner, I reduce my simple carb intake and increase my veggie consumption. But, even when I’m focusing on maintaining a healthy diet, I still enjoy cooking flavorful, delicious meals. Since I like easy, fuss-free cooking which requires just a short amount of time and minimal effort to do here’s a flavorful, low-carb meal that can be made in just 30 minutes or less.
A Flavorful Low-Carb Meal in Just 30 Minutes
- 8 pieces Chicken Tenders
- 1/2 Can Diced Tomatoes (with Basil, Garlic, Oregano)
- 1/2 Cup of Marinara Sauce
- 1/2 Jumbo Yellow Onion (finely chopped)
- 10 Fresh Garlic Cloves (minced)
- 3 Tbsp. Italian Seasoning
- 1/2 Cup Avocado Oil
- 1 Tsp Freshly Grated Rock Salt
STEP 1: Chop the onion and garlic and sauté in a pan with Avocado Oil until onion is golden colored.
STEP 2: Pre-heat oven to 400°F. Place a piece of aluminum foil on a baking pan. Put the chicken tenders and asparagus spears on the pan.
STEP 3: Add the Italian Seasoning, Salt, and a drizzle of Avocado Oil to the chicken and asparagus.
STEP 4: Pour the diced tomatoes on top of the chicken.
STEP 5: Pour the marinara sauce on top of the chicken and cook for 20 minutes in the oven. Serve hot.
An easy low-carb recipe like this is not only simple (and rather effortless) to prepare, it’s also chock full of healthy, good-for-you ingredients like antioxidant-rich vegetables, lean protein, and heart-healthy oil. Plus, it’s so flavorful and delicious that you won’t feel like you’re dieting. Not to mention – because of the fiber-full vegetables, it will satiate your hunger and curb your appetite.
