When it comes to celebrating special occasions, what I’ve learned is that it’s sometimes the little moments in life that are the ones that deserve to be cherished. One of the best ways to re-connect with your significant other is to enjoy a casual and relaxed night at home. Spending a leisurely evening cooking together, laughing and talking for hours, and toasting with La Marca Prosecco Sparkling Wine is one of the easiest ways to add that sparkle back into your romantic relationship.

Preparing a delicious and healthy meal doesn’t have to be a daunting challenge, nor does it have to be expensive. Pairing a little bubbly with a home-cooked seafood dinner is a great way to go. Featured here are meal pairing suggestions that go perfectly with the refreshing taste of La Marca Prosecco.

La Marca Prosecco Meal Pairing Ideas

Appetizer Idea:

Renowned for its delicate flavors and aromatics, Prosecco creates a “delicate effervescence and a food-friendly palate”. La Marca Prosecco recommends using the Sparkling Wine as “an apéritif or pairing it with mild cheeses, light hors d’oevres, salads, seafood linguine in garlic butter sauce, or a lighter fish, such as sole, snapper and mahi-mahi”. Taking cue from the seafood pairing suggestions, a quick and easy appetizer to prepare (that tastes incredible) is Sautéed Shrimp with Mango Ginger Chutney.

Sautéed Shrimp with Mango Ginger Chutney Recipe:

Lightly sprinkle garlic powder and onion powder on cleaned and deveined Mexican White Shrimp. Pour approximately 2 tbsp. of Extra Virgin Olive Oil into a frying pan. Turning the stove onto a medium-intensity flame, sauté the large Mexican White Shrimp. Add a few cloves of chopped garlic into the pan, making sure to stir the ingredients regularly (to ensure they don’t burn). When the shrimp start to curl up and turn white, these are signs they are nearly done cooking. Pour a jar of Mango Ginger Chutney (from Trader Joe’s) directly into the pan, thoroughly covering the shrimp with the sauce. After stirring for about 2 minutes, the appetizer is now ready to serve.

Dinner Idea:

Since Prosecco pairs especially well with seafood dishes, cooking a Baked Salmon dinner is a fabulous way to create a beautiful, healthful meal (that not only tastes great, it’s good for you too). Featured here is an easy, stress-free recipe that complements the light, clean taste of La Marca Prosecco.

Baked Salmon with Honey Mustard Glaze:

Turn the oven to 350 degrees and let it warm up. Lightly drizzle olive oil on the bottom of a baking pan. Sprinkle Paprika, Onion Powder, and Garlic Powder on the top of an end-cut of Salmon (farm-raised or Alaskan Salmon is recommended). Add a few pads of button onto the top of the fish. Then spread a Honey Mustard Glaze (the Sweet & Hot Mustard from Trader Joe’s is fantastic for this). Pop the fish in the oven and let it bake for 30-45 minutes (depending on how thick the piece of fish is). The fish should be cooked all the way through and have a light brown hue when finished.

While the fish is baking, cook Brown Rice in a rice cooker (which takes about 20-30 minutes). And then add chopped, peeled carrots into a steamer; finish by adding a few pads of butter to the carrots (right before serving), to add some flavor. Within just a few easy steps, you’ve prepared a well-balanced, delicious meal that you and your honey will love.
