Lexus Grand Tasting ~ 5th Annual Pebble Beach Food & Wine
In just five short years, the Lexus Grand Tasting at Pebble Beach Food & Wine (presented by American Express Publishing) has quickly become known by foodies and wine aficionados across the country as one of the most spectacular opportunities to enjoy over 300 wines from 200 of the world’s most prestigious wineries (including Opus One Winery, Rombauer Vineyard, Silver Oak, and one of my favorites, Dolce, known as “liquid gold” from Napa Valley, created by the partners of Far Niente), all set in Pebble Beach, the world-renowned luxury golf resort. 50 Executive Chefs from top restaurants, along with 25 Celebrity Chefs (including Jacques Pépin, Todd English, Tyler Florence, Guy Fieri, Thomas Keller, and Anne Burrell), showcased their culinary skills by providing decadent tasting samples of their cuisine, ranging from extravagant foie gras infused chocolate bon bons to chutney-topped bacon-wrapped pork. The event included book signings and photo sessions with some of the weekend’s celebrities. The weekend-long festival included dinners, wine tastings, cooking demos, and seminars.
