Defined by the brand tagline “Inspiring Greatness”, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars continues to prove there are no limits to imagination when it comes to automotive luxury. This month, the marque unveiled Phantom Dentelle (a one-of-one, haute couture–inspired creation), along with three breathtaking Bespoke commissions paying tribute to Chinese art, culture, and landscapes.
These remarkable vehicles were conceived through Rolls-Royce’s exclusive Private Office experience, where clients collaborate directly with designers to transform deeply personal inspirations into rolling works of art.
Phantom Dentelle: When Couture Meets Craftsmanship
Commissioned as a deeply personal gift from a client to their father, Phantom Dentelle draws inspiration from rare handwoven lace crafted on traditional Leavers looms — a textile art typically reserved for the world’s most elite fashion houses.
“We always say inspiration can come from anywhere, and for over 20 years, our clients have proven that again and again. Phantom Dentelle is a true homage to the art of couture lace. Interpreting it through embroidery within the Phantom’s cabin turns craftsmanship into couture—a bold statement of personal luxury and design.” says Michelle Lusby, Designer at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.
Inside, over 230,000 embroidery stitches bring this concept to life. The Dentelle Gallery, spanning the full dashboard, incorporates eight advanced techniques to recreate intricate floral motifs in Rose Gold, Sunrise, and Oatmeal threads. Elevated stitching mimics the shimmer of pearls, while an additional 70,000 stitches continue the design in the rear Waterfall section. The Grace White and Sunrise leather cabin is accented with Piano White veneers, Rose Gold speaker grilles, and ‘RR’ monograms on the headrests.
On the exterior, Phantom Dentelle features a two-tone paint finish: Crystal over Arctic White on the lower body and Crystal over Palais Nemasker Dawn above. A hand-painted dual coachline finishes in a delicate leafy branch with pearl-like “berries,” echoing the embroidery within. Completing the look: Rose Gold detailing, including a Rose Gold Spirit of Ecstasy and engraved treadplates.
A Trio of Bespoke Commissions: East Meets West
From haute couture to cultural storytelling, Rolls-Royce also unveiled three Bespoke commissions: the Phantom Extended, Black Badge Cullinan, and Black Badge Spectre, all created through Private Office Shanghai. The unifying theme? “Silken Spirit,” a design motif by Bespoke Designer Shuai Feng that blends the elegance of the Spirit of Ecstasy with the opulence of imperial silk.
Phantom Extended: A Starry Ode to Dunhuang
Painted in Ningye Purple, inspired by Tang Dynasty poetry and the skies above the Great Wall, this Phantom Extended features a contrasting English White upper body and a hand-painted Silken Spirit motif along its C-pillar and coachline. Inside, the 1,344-fiber Starlight Headliner, featuring 192 “shooting stars,” creates a celestial ambiance. A hand-painted leather mural inside the Gallery evokes the apsaras of Buddhist art, while Black and Cashmere Gray leathers create a dual-environment cabin.
Black Badge Cullinan: A Vision in Danqian Pink
This Black Badge Cullinan Series II wears Danqian Pink, with matching accents on its massive 23-inch forged wheels. Its front cabin features Blushing Pink leather with over 107,000 precision perforations, while the rear shifts to a more intimate Navy leather setting.
A glowing Bespoke Starlight Headliner integrates the Silken Spirit motif in Blushing Pink, tying the design together.
Black Badge Spectre: Mountain Blues and Dramatic Contrasts
Rolls-Royce’s all-electric super coupe, Spectre, takes on a bold Qingshan Blue and Diamond Black two-tone inspired by mountain hues in Dunhuang murals. Inside, Turchese and Black leather seating, illuminated Silken Spirit treadplates, and a dual-tone console create an equally dramatic cabin. Starlight Doors and an intricate Bespoke Starlight Headliner bring added theater to this electric masterpiece.
The Phantom Dentelle celebrates haute couture’s timeless beauty, while the Chinese Mural Art Collection reflects an elegant cultural dialogue between ancient artistic traditions and modern luxury. These designs also underscore the depth of Rolls-Royce’s Bespoke program, where no two commissions are ever alike, and each bespoke vehicle is tailored to the personal vision of its client. With these commissions, Rolls-Royce isn’t just building ultra-luxury supercars; the renowned heritage brand is crafting moving art pieces designed to evoke emotion, celebrate tradition, and bridge cultures.
