While you can’t travel to your favorite places right now, you can bring a taste of them home to get you inspired about future adventures. In collaboration with my friends at Downtown Napa, they’ve invited me to participate in the #TravelAtHomeChallenge by AFAR Magazine.
Join The #TravelAtHomeChallenge
AFAR is encouraging all of us to recreate our favorite destination experiences at home by uploading photos online using the hashtag #TravelAtHomeChallenge. Each week, they will share their favorite entries on social media.

CIA at COPIA offers FREE Access for 30-Days to DISH Membership
Since Napa Valley is one of my favorite places to visit in California, it was only natural that I’d want to bring the flavors of Napa home with me. That’s why I was excited to learn that the Culinary Institute of America at COPIA is currently offering its online membership platform DISH for free for 30 days. No credit card required to sign-up!
They have CIA tested and approved recipes, weekly menu planners, technique tutorials & videos, demonstrations, classes, and more. Plus, you can search for recipes by type (vegan, meats, appetizers, desserts, etc.) and can even save the recipes for easy future access.
If you’ve been following Inspirations & Celebrations for a while, you’ve probably noticed that I’ve recently been getting more into plant-based dishes. One of my favorite ways to cook vegetables is to roast them (as it’s so easy!). For that reason, I was delighted to discover their recipe for perfectly Roasted Brussels Sprouts. Not only did it require just a few simple ingredients, but it was surprisingly fast and easy to make too.
Whether you’ve been cooking and baking a lot more (since we’re all at home right now), or you’ve always wanted to expand your culinary repertoire, now is a great time to get creative in the kitchen.

Get Inspired To Bring a Taste of Napa Valley Home
In addition to cooking at home with CIA at COPIA, a few other inspiring ways you can bring the essence of Napa home is by drinking Napa Valley wine (check out this I&C guide for my recommendations on outstanding Napa Valley wineries), creating an at-home spa day, watching a video of an installation from Napa Lighted Art Festival, or even viewing the Downtown Napa YouTube channel.
To learn more about Napa, check out my Downtown Napa Travel Guide for ideas on where to stay and play.
Until we can all travel to our favorite destinations, I encourage you to expand your horizons at home right now by allowing your imagination to run free and get inspired to have fun.
