Having traveled the world (from Mexico and Europe to Asia and beyond), I’ve been fortunate to stay at all types of luxury hotels and resorts. While there are so many beautiful places around the globe to visit, one of my favorite places on Earth happens to also be my hometown – Pebble Beach, California.

Where To Stay in Pebble Beach

Our exclusive gated coastal community is home to Pebble Beach Resorts – which is considered to be the premier hotel group on the Central Coast. The group operates four distinct hotel properties within Pebble Beach, including The Lodge, The Inn at Spanish Bay, Casa Palmero, and the newest development, Fairway One.

In addition to updating and renovating several properties in preparation of its centennial celebration next year, Pebble Beach Resorts is also the host of the 2019 U.S. Open Championship, the 2023 U.S. Women’s Open Championship, and the annual Pebble Beach AT&T Pro-Am golf tournament. Since more women are getting into golf, this makes it an especially exciting time to visit Pebble Beach.

Whether you’re looking for a tranquil Mediterranean abode to escape to (which would be the private estate-turned-hotel & spa called Casa Palmero) or a traditional classic vibe that encourages you to relax in front of a roaring fireplace, while overlooking the famed 18th hole of the Pebble Beach Golf Links (which can be found at The Lodge, pictured above), the four properties offer varying features and attractions, depending on your personal preference.

What To Do in Pebble Beach

Aside from lounging in the tastefully-appointed hotel rooms with gorgeous scenic views, there are a number of other fun reasons to get together with friends in Pebble Beach. If you’re into outdoor activities, get your girlfriends together for a round of golf (with a lesson by one of the pros) or for a day of boating in Stillwater Cove (shown above). There are also horseback rides along the beach, boutique and resort shopping, and wine tastings and Flight Nights at Stave Wine Bar.

Make sure to grab your camera and take a tour of 17 Mile Drive. Along the drive, you’ll discover world-famous landmarks and Instagram-worthy destinations, including the legendary Lone Cypress Tree, and my personal favorites for picnics on the beach – Seal Rock and Bird Rock.

The Ultimate Girls Getaway in Pebble Beach - Casa Palmero Spa

If your gal pals are more interested in relaxing in style, then head to The Spa at Pebble Beach, which is located within the palm-tree lined estate known as Casa Palmero. It’s easy to spend hours lounging and getting pampered at this destination spa. From soothing massage and body treatments to rejuvenating facials and salon services, this is truly the ultimate place to unwind in Pebble Beach.

Inspired by the natural beauty of the Monterey Bay coast, the 5-star, award-winning spa offers a signature service that’s ideal for the unique needs of spring skin. The Ocean Elements treatment begins with an invigorating dry brush followed by a mother of pearl, lime and bergamot salt scrub. Spa-goers then enjoy a soothing scalp or foot massage while wrapped in seaweed mud and finish with an application of coconut oil and almond oil scented with the essence of coastal herbs and flowers.

Where To Eat in Pebble Beach

After a busy day doing fun activities, you’ll have worked up an appetite. While there are a number of great restaurants in Pebble Beach to choose from (including Roy’s at Spanish Bay, The Tap Room, and The Bench), one of my favorites is Stillwater Bar & Grill.

Not only does this contemporary California coastal restaurant boast stunning golf course and ocean views, it also features a large selection of seasonally-inspired dishes that include locally-sourced ingredients and fresh organic produce. A couple of our personal recommendations are the Filet & Lobster Tail (pictured above) and the Cedar Plank Roasted Salmon.

If you plan on visiting Pebble Beach Resorts in May, it’s definitely worth your while to check out the scrumptious Mother’s Day brunch that will be held at Stillwater Grill.
