Just in time for Monterey Car Week and Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, Pebble Beach Resorts recently debuted the new Fairway One development project to VIP guests at a special Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on August 11th. Being one of the premier luxury hotels on the Central Coast in California (and ranked the #1 public golf course in America), this recently-completed hotel expansion offers a glimpse into the architectural and design future of The Lodge at Pebble Beach.

Upon entering the lobby, VIP guests (including notable local business people and public officials such as Congressman Jimmy Panetta, Cannery Row Co-Founder Ted Balestreri, and KSBW General Manager Joseph Heston) were greeted with a Champagne reception. Pebble Beach Resorts CEO William Perocchi and President Cody Plott (as photographed below) kicked-off the celebration by welcoming guests during an opening speech, followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony.

As stated in a press release about the Fairway One project, Bill Perocchi, CEO of Pebble Beach Company said, “The Lodge and Pebble Beach Golf Links are where our story began in 1919, and now, as we approach our 100th anniversary, the addition of Fairway One will help us continue that legacy for the next 100 years. Our guests will find that Fairway One maintains the style, personality, and signature amenities and services that they have come to expect at The Lodge, while delivering a little more privacy and an upgraded experience all its own.”

As an expansive addition to The Lodge at Pebble Beach, the new Fairway One property features 38 guest rooms, including 30 guest rooms in three two-story buildings and eight rooms in two four-bedroom golf cottages overlooking the first fairway of Pebble Beach Golf Links. In addition to golf course and garden views, several rooms boast partial ocean views as well.

The Fairway One complex also includes a new meeting facility anchored by a 2,500-square-foot meeting room, which makes it an ideal spot for corporate retreats and meetings.

Designed by Hirsch Bedner Associates, each of the guest rooms and cottages has been tastefully decorated in a soothing neutral color palette, including leather chairs, stone fireplaces, plush bedding, and Del Monte Forest themed artwork.

Making it an ideal retreat for corporate meetings, guys’ weekends, reunions, wedding parties, and other celebratory gatherings, the new cottages are the highlight of Fairway One. Creating a relaxed and inviting atmosphere that makes guests feel like they’re entertaining at home, the cottages offer extra amenities and entertaining packages that are both novel and delightful.

In addition to a complimentary breakfast buffet, guests can request a wide variety of offerings, including an Omelet Station with Dedicated Chef, a Bloody Mary, Margarita or Mimosa Bar, and a number of food stations for receptions. Some of the food & beverage stations offered include Mid-Day High Tea, Health Nut (Build Your Own Trail Mix), Sushi Station, Mini Sliders Galore with Grilling Chef, and a Champagne Tasting with Sommelier.

To satisfy your sweet tooth, you can also order a S’mores Station, Candy Factory, or Ice Cream Social, treating your guests to decadent delights in the privacy and comfort of your cottage.

Aside from the cozy, upscale furnishings and relaxed setting, what makes Fairway One stand out are the menu enhancement packages that are offered to guests. These special packages enable guests to feel like they’re entertaining at home, which is a unique experience for visitors on vacation.

Since Pebble Beach Resorts will be celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2019 and will also be the host to the U.S. Open Golf Championship Tournament that year, this expansion and enhancement project is just one of the ways that Pebble Beach Resorts is updating and improving its property. The resort has been implementing renovation updates in phases, with the plan to update all 454 guest rooms at The Lodge, The Inn at Spanish Bay and Casa Palmero.
