As we transition into a new season, it’s a great time to think about updating and refreshing one’s personal style. Along with the welcome change of seasons comes fabulous new fashion and accessory trends to play with.
The Key To Creating Your Personal Style
Developing personal style is a life-long process that changes and evolves as we mature. You might have noticed that you were attracted to certain types of prints or colors at a specific phase in your life, and then a few years later, things changed. In addition to finding designs, silhouettes, and looks that you adore (and wear repeatedly), it’s also fun to try new styles as they come into fashion.
Over the past couple of years, I’ve developed a passion for stripes (just ask my friends – it’s our running joke whenever we go shopping). In addition, I’ve come to embrace tailored, sophisticated clothing and bold, eye-catching jewelry. As I continue to explore and try out new fashion and accessory trends, I’ve learned that I love vivid color combos (like black & white), dynamic patterns, and timeless accessories.
From sporting the perfect-sized handbag (like a go-with-anything wristlet or a chic, day-to-night clutch) to wearing figure-flattering cuts, my take on personal style is this – wear whatever makes you look fabulous and feel confident.
Day-To-Night Personal Style with Pulsar Watches
When it comes to fall fashion and accessory trends, recently Pulsar Watches asked to find out how I’d style one of their on-trend, modern watches with my fall fashion accessory must-haves and apparel. Featured here are a couple of looks that I pulled together for one of my typical weekends spent on the Monterey Peninsula in California.
When I’m heading to lunch on a leisurely weekend afternoon, I like to look pulled-together, but feel comfortable. That’s why dark-washed jeans (which tend to have a more refined, sophisticated appearance) are usually my go-to piece of clothing. A form-fitting top in a striking print pairs perfectly under a contemporary, cropped blazer. These pieces not only flatter my shape, they also enable me to feel conservative enough for dining in an upscale restaurant. One of my favorite fall fashion accessories is a metallic handbag – which is suitable for day or night.
When the main focus of my look is a strong pattern, I prefer to let the print take center stage, while coordinating my jewelry and watch to help pull the outfit together.
