Celebrity Wedding Inspiration

Once wedding planning commences, brides are often faced with a tricky question: “What comes first, choosing your wedding dress or the location?” One simply cannot opt for a dress with a long trail if the wedding is being held on a sandy beach, or decide on a casual knee-length number for a black-tie affair held in a grand ballroom. Regardless of which decision comes first, it is important that all aspects tie together to create beautiful wedding day cohesion. Below is some celebrity wedding inspiration from three famous weddings:

Celebrity Wedding Inspiration

1. Wedding Abroad: Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel organized their dream wedding in Italy because of the country’s incredible food (“We love to eat” Justin said) and the beautiful surroundings. Jessica wore a powder pink wedding gown, by Giambattista Valli on her special day. Because of this non-traditional bridal gown color, this celebrity wedding definitely made a statement. As Jessica Biel showed everyone, it’s okay to have your wedding dress in a color other than white. Let’s not forget, white wedding dresses became mainstream back in the 19th century! You can get Jessica’s look with a similar gown designed by Vera Wang’s White collection sold at David’s Bridal. It is truly a divine creation and will have your guests feeling the day’s romance.

2. Fairytale Wedding: You have fantasized about a royal wedding since you were a little girl. By far, the grandest and most talked-about celebrity wedding that happened in the past couple years was the Royal Wedding for Prince William and Kate Middleton. Though you may not marry an actual prince like Kate Middleton did, you can most certainly draw inspiration from her incredible long trailed gown designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. There are many castles waiting to be rented for a few nights, just so you can party in style like a genuine queen!

3. A Hometown Wedding: There is something nostalgic and comforting about hosting nuptials in your very own hometown—not to mention it makes the organizing process much simpler. Inspiration, in this case, comes from a rom-com we all adore: Bride Wars. Kate Hudson’s dress and fabulous reception at the Plaza in New York made us all envious of her fabulously metropolitan event. She wore a gown from the 2009 Vera Wang collection, but luckily Vera designs similar, more affordable wedding gowns like the one above.
