Ralph Lauren and Pebble Beach Resorts have always spoken the same language — sport, heritage, and a commitment to doing things beautifully. It stands to reason that these illustrious brands would join forces to elevate the sport and style of America’s beloved golf destination – Pebble Beach, California.

Over the weekend of May 29th, the duo made their partnership official by announcing Ralph Lauren as the Official Lifestyle Apparel Partner of Pebble Beach Resorts, debuting a new retail store on the property: the first and only brand retail concept the resort has ever hosted, situated adjacent to The Lodge and steps from the first tee of Pebble Beach Golf Links.

To mark the occasion, Ralph Lauren hosted an invitation-only cocktail party at The Lodge on Friday evening, drawing Pebble Beach Company executives, Concours d’Elegance board members, Ralph Lauren leadership, and notable people from the worlds of fashion, sports, and entertainment.

Pebble Beach Company COO Caroline MacDonald was among those celebrating, explaining to us during the party that the store’s range of price points was deliberate, designed to welcome every resort guest rather than exclusively those shopping at the top of the market.
Whether you’re at the resort for a golf weekend or enjoying a culinary experience at Pebble Beach Food & Wine, the Ralph Lauren boutique was thoughtfully curated to cater to all types of guests’ needs – from tasteful evening wear for upscale dinners to casual pieces (like espadrilles and sweaters – two must-haves for Monterey Peninsula getaways).

Also raising a glass that evening were PGA Tour golfers Davis Love III, Nick Watney (pictured below), and Smylie Kaufman, Olympic hockey star Hilary Knight, model Kelsey Merritt, Paige and Riley Harper, and skateboarder Jagger Eaton.

The store itself reflected both companies’ preppy, traditional brand identities to a tee.
With bronze and aged brass accents, stained oak millwork, and limestone flooring, the atmosphere felt sophisticated, warm, and inviting – a reflection of both Ralph Lauren and Pebble Beach Resorts. Men’s Purple Label, Women’s Collection, Polo Ralph Lauren, RLX performance sportswear, and exclusive co-branded Pebble Beach pieces drew attention from guests browsing the store and shopping for must-have classics.

The celebration extended through Saturday with a series of private, brand-curated experiences. On the course, a select group teed off at Pebble Beach Golf Links in full Ralph Lauren style with custom-wrapped golf carts, personalized ball markers, special pin flags, and views that render the scorecard largely beside the point. A clinic at the Pebble Beach Golf Academy, hosted by Love III, Watney, and Kaufman, rounded out the morning.

NBA champion Jayson Tatum, NHL star Jack Hughes, actors Jesse Williams and Scott Eastwood (son of former Carmel-by-the-Sea Mayor, Clint Eastwood), and other VIPs were among those on the fairways, dressed in RLX and Polo Ralph Lauren performance pieces.

Lunch followed at the Pier at Stillwater Cove, adjacent to the Beach & Tennis Club (a private country club for members and hotel guests), overlooking the spectacular Monterey Peninsula coastline, with the Santa Lucia mountain range in the far distance.

By evening, the weekend concluded with a private al fresco dinner at The Terrace Lounge at The Lodge, with the legendary 18th hole as backdrop. The distinguished guests and celebrities gathered for an elegant evening of lively conversations, gourmet meals, beautiful vistas, and, of course, stylish apparel.

Throughout the weekend, a trio of vintage cars (including a classic Jaguar owned by a Pebble Beach resident, who happens to be one of the Concours d’Elegance judges) was featured on the property, providing a nod to both brands’ deep appreciation for classic automobiles and to Pebble Beach’s identity as home of the Concours d’Elegance.
For nearly 60 years, Ralph Lauren has been in the business of selling not just clothing but an entire lifestyle, one defined by timeless style, athletic aspiration, and the particular romance of places that feel set apart from the ordinary. Pebble Beach has been doing the same thing for more than a century. So, it’s befitting that these two iconic brands would finally be woven together, as they’re both essentially cut from the same cloth.
