Peju Province Winery Harvest Celebration in Rutherford
Reserve your place at Peju’s harvest table to celebrate Harvest season. The Peju Province Winery Harvest Celebration is being held on September 17, 2016 in Rutherford, California. The evening begins with a Big Bottle Reception featuring special large format bottles of Peju wines, including a 6L of 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon, 3L of 2013 Fifty/Fifty, 1.5L of 2012 Merlot, which won a double gold medal at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, and a 1.5L of 2013 Merlot. These beautiful wines will be served alongside a selection of Chef Alex’s culinary small bites. As the evening continues, head out under the stars for the winery’s annual harvest dinner. This farm-to-table meal includes three courses paired with a selection of Peju wines. Following dinner, stay for coffee, espresso and dancing under the harvest moon.
9th Annual Harvest Celebration at Castello di Amorosa in Calistoga
If you’ve ever dreamed of visiting a European castle, then this is your chance (and you don’t even need to bring your Passport!). Head to Castello di Amorosa in Calistoga, California for the 9th Annual Harvest Celebration and Grape Stomp Competition, which takes place on September 23, 2016. One of the largest of its kind in the U.S., the Grape Stomp Competition takes place on the Castello’s crush pad where teams compete to see who can sort and stomp the most juice from wine grapes harvested near the Castello. The Castello’s medieval style castle doors will open to the Courtyard and Great Hall for the festivities, which includes dancing to live music, dining on savory foods paired with the Castello’s wines, underground wine education cave tours (reservations in advance requested), grape stomp photo ops and demonstrations of harvesting and wine-making with the winery’s winemakers.
