Where To See Fall Foliage in New York

As the changing colors of Fall foliage continue to paint the landscape of Central New York, there is no place better than the Hudson Valley to enjoy the season’s most vibrant view. Nestled in the famous Hudson River Valley, The TIME Nyack (shown above) offers the region’s most scenic accommodations to explore the wondrous colors of the leaves as they burst into vivid yellows, oranges and reds. Transformed from a historic factory warehouse by award-winning architectural and interior design firm, Glen & Co Architecture, The TIME Nyack is the only upscale, boutique hotel with loft-style accommodations in Rockland County, and is a great place to visit for awe-inspiring view of the spectacular Hudson River.

Where To See Fall Foliage in North Carolina

When road tripping this Fall, consider Winston-Salem – where the Fall foliage lasts an extra two weeks than the Carolina mountain region. Protected from the winter chill a little longer than the mountain ranges, leaf peeping extends an extra couple of weeks in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. A few of the places to check out in this area as Salem Lake, Historic Old Salem, Pilot Mountain State Park, and Reynolda Mile. When visiting this neck of the woods, a great spot to stay at is the new Kimpton Cardinal Hotel, which opened earlier this year. This glamorous hotel is an iconic structure in downtown Winston-Salem, and happens to be the former headquarters of the R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. and prototype of the Empire State Building. The Cardinal is Kimpton’s first foray into the Carolinas, featuring 174 guest accommodations, including 15 suites, expansive fitness and recreation centers and a distinctive neighborhood restaurant and bar.

Where To See Fall Foliage in Maine

Start your day with a scrumptious breakfast (like Banana Nut French Toast) at Eve’s at the Garden, then hop into the car to explore the best of what Maine has to offer. For an inland foliage trip, head along Route 22 from Portland to Buxton and on to Standish, then Route 35 for a bit before continuing back to Portland on Route 25 East. This loop will take you through some beautiful countryside and open farmland (where you could even find a pumpkin patch). For a coastal drive, take 295 to Brunswick and then follow Route 1 to Bath, Camden and Rockland. While in Camden, head to the top of Mount Battie for a spectacular view overlooking the trees, ocean and islands in the distance. After a long day exploring, rest your head at the elegant Portland Harbor Hotel, which is an award-winning hotel located in the heart of the Old Port, a Victorian district of lovingly restored shops and restaurants. The charming area features cobblestone streets, galleries, shops, day spas and historic landmarks.
