There are moments in life when you feel like you’ve been transported to another world, one that feels so surreal that you could easily think you were stepping into a thrilling scene from a Hollywood film. Such was the atmosphere at the House of Aston Martin, an exclusive modern villa set against the backdrop of the famed Spyglass Hills Golf Course, located within the gates of Pebble Beach, California, during Monterey Car Week earlier this month.

Surrounded by winding oaks and wrapped in a cloak of misty fog, the contemporary estate was transformed into a sanctuary of elegance and understated glamour, exemplifying the very essence of the 007 lifestyle: captivating, suave, and ever so slightly untouchable. The VIP party marked Aston Martin’s 75th anniversary in the Americas, and the milestone was celebrated with commanding flair.

While there were numerous brand activations and driving experiences for VIP guests to participate in during Monterey Car Week’s festivities, to start with, the brand debuted the Thrillseeker Collection (a trio of bespoke convertibles created by Q by Aston Martin), as pictured below.

Inspired by the moody hues of Carmel Bay, each car embodied a moment of day (dawn, afternoon, and dusk) rendered in shimmering Mako Blue, Seychelles Blue, and Ultramarine Black, accented with bronze wheels and detailing. Just nine of these works of art exist, each already spoken for, cementing their place as future legends.

During Monterey Car Week, the House of Aston Martin was intentionally designed to be more than a posh showroom for automobiles. If anything, it felt like a clandestine setting where iconic legends (like Bond himself) could be found hatching masterminded plans and making billion-dollar deals with illustrious entrepreneurs.

From the hum of quiet conversations and the melodic beat of pulsating music to the clinking of champagne glasses, the sultry dinner party invited social elite and car collectors to mingle effortlessly, while encouraging guests to saunter through exquisitely curated spaces that revealed Aston Martin’s ethos of luxury at every turn.

Within one private room (wrapped in a gilded veil), guests were invited to taste the world’s most awarded single malt whisky, Glenfiddich®. The private tasting reflected the commencement of an exciting new partnership of two icons: one celebrated for timeless design, the other for refined craftsmanship, both united in their devotion to excellence.

Spotlighted like a star stepping onto the main stage, the Valhalla commanded the party with an almost otherworldly presence. Aston Martin’s first series production mid-engined supercar (and its first plug-in hybrid with dedicated EV range capability), Valhalla fuses Formula 1®-derived technology with flawless design lines, delivering 1,079PS and reaching 0–62 mph in just 2.5 seconds. Beneath its sculpted carbon body lies the most powerful V8 ever fitted to an Aston Martin, paired with an all-new 8-speed Dual Clutch Transmission and active aerodynamics that generate more than 600kg of downforce at speed. Limited to just 999 units and priced around $1M, Valhalla embodies both rarity and raw power, making it an icon in the making.

For those who have long dreamt of owning such a machine, Valhalla represents a promise fulfilled, even for those who own virtually every dream-worthy supercar one could wish for.

Bilal Hydrie (a Canada-based entrepreneur, executive, and avid supercar enthusiast whose prized collection includes Bugatti, Lamborghini, Koenigsegg, and more) described his journey to ownership of an Aston Martin Valhalla by saying:

“My experience with Aston Martin has been nothing short of amazing, from start to finish, something you don’t often find with other brands these days. From the moment I met the team, they went into every detail about the new Valhalla: the redblue technology inspired by the Valkyrie. I had always dreamed of owning a Valkyrie, but with Canadian regulations making it non-road-legal, I thought that dream would never happen. Then I discovered the Valhalla, and I knew I had to make it happen.

Today, in the hypercar world, you simply can’t find true performance and presence for under $3 million; there’s literally nothing else out there. So, for me, the price point was a no-brainer. I actually placed my deposit five years ago, and with all the changes back and forth, I honestly doubted the project would ever become a reality. But now that we’re finally seeing the production car, it’s incredible. I’ll be traveling to New York soon to lock in my spec. I already know exactly what I want, and I couldn’t be more excited to be part of this journey with Aston Martin.”

The Valhalla may have stolen the spotlight that evening, but the estate also hosted a range of Aston Martin models that embodied different facets of the brand’s upscale lifestyle, designed to take you from the city to the country and even to the track.

The Vantage S, sleek and daring, exuded the spirit of the ultimate superspy mobile, captivating guests as they walked into the foyer. The DBX707, the supercar of SUVs (with a top speed of 193 mph), revealed a champagne-and-picnic tableau in its trunk (exemplifying it as an SUV made for indulgent countryside escapes and adventures along the coastline). The DBX S continued Aston’s renewed ultra-fast, high-performance SUV, while the Vanquish Volante stood as a timeless grand tourer, blending romance and velocity with effortless charm.

Each model wasn’t just a car; rather, it was an invitation into a way of living.

As the party drew to a close and we strolled down the expansive driveway, one final surprise awaited us.

Glistening like an opulent jewel stood the head-turning $4 million crystal-encrusted Valkyrie Spider, which is the first of its kind. As I came to learn, it took over 1,500 hours and a 12-person team to hand-lay 300,000 individual stones, adding 35 pounds to the hypercar’s body.

Owned by the enigmatic car collector and entrepreneur known on Instagram as Supercar Ron, the sparkling spectacle was nothing short of breathtaking: a hypercar that evolved into a rolling piece of haute couture.

From launching 75 years ago in the Americas (through the global debut of the DB2 at the New York Auto Show in 1950) to the futuristic vision embodied by Valhalla, Aston Martin continues to prove itself to be so much more than just another luxury carmaker.

The debonair marque is a curator of dreams, a designer of heroic identities, and the purveyor of a lifestyle that exudes timeless sophistication, undeniable allure, and magnetic power. From superspies to supercar collectors, whether you’re en route to Casino Royale or Carmel Beach, “the world is not enough” until you own an Aston Martin.
