About Positano

Positano was once a thriving maritime town, but its economy declined in the mid-20th century. It has since become a popular vacation destination for tourists from all over the world. The beach town is known for its unique architecture, beautiful beaches, and luxury lifestyle. The town is situated on a steep hillside, and its buildings are built into the hillside, so expect to hike from the beach to your hotel (or anywhere, for that matter).

For those who prefer to travel by car, there are several rental companies that offer service to Positano, as it’s not recommended to rent a car in Italy (unless you know how to drive there). I jokingly call it “organized chaos”, because their way of driving is anything but relaxing. The drive from Naples takes about an hour and a half, and visitors should be aware of the winding roads and tight turns. Regardless of how you choose to get to Positano, it is sure to be a memorable experience.
