This charming historic beach town boasts incredible shopping (along State Street), spectacular beaches and recreational activities, and one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed at – The Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara.
Surrounded by a tropical oasis of blooming flowers and evergreen trees, this magnificent property is often a sought-after retreat for celebrities, musicians, and influential people. Not only does it have an on-site Jose Eber hair salon (where I was fortunate enough to meet the “mane” man himself), it also includes a relaxing swimming pool, tennis courts, a fitness center & spa, and is located directly across from the beach. If you book a trip here, look to stay in one of the exclusive bungalow suites – they’re like a home away from home.
Dreamy Hotels in Pebble Beach, California
If you’ve been following Inspirations & Celebrations for a while, you’ve probably seen me talk about this next dreamy hotel a few times before (as it’s my favorite place on the planet). Casa Palmero at Pebble Beach is truly one of the most majestic hotels & spas I’ve ever seen (and believe me – I’ve visited many!). This Mediterranean-style private estate-turned-hotel is an exclusive escape for travelers (as it has only 24 rooms). This hidden gem is tucked away from the world, creating a tranquil sanctuary that beckons you to relax. During the daytime, get into the swing of things by playing a round of golf on one of the famed Pebble Beach golf courses. In the evening, unwind with a massage or facial at the picturesque spa, before getting tucked in for bed.

Just a brief drive away from Pebble Beach is another dreamy hotel that is reminiscent of yesteryear’s glory days – La Playa Hotel in Carmel-by-the-Sea. This elegant historic property was built in 1905, but most recently underwent a big renovation, making it 0ne of the most desirable places to stay and play on the Monterey Peninsula.

If you’re planning a getaway to this destination spot, definitely check out The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel. This modern resort offers everything from fitness classes and outdoor recreation (including surf lessons) to upscale fine dining, elegant accommodations, and easy access to nearby hotspots. I couldn’t write about glamourous travel destinations without mentioning Beverly Hills. One of the most charming hotels we’ve discovered in this celeb-studded mecca is the old Hollywood-inspired Crescent Hotel Beverly Hills. Decorated in an art deco style with flamboyant wall murals, sparkling crystal chandeliers, and unique artwork, this colorful and hip boutique hotel is a fun (and budget-friendly) place to stay in BH. Plus, they’re pet-friendly and even offer a beautiful breakfast on their private terrace, making it a glamorous place to wake up.
