A perfect destination for dads to escape for a truly relaxing vacation, at Soneva guests can relax in their own private luxury villa, explore the island by land (jungle trekking), water (snorkeling in the nearby reefs, fishing in local fishing boats) or sky (at the resort’s state-of-the-art on-property observatory). And when it comes to dining, the standout experience is the resort’s renowned Benz restaurant, located in a classic wooden Thai structure amongst the mangroves encircling Klong Yai Kee waterfall, where the self-trained Chef Khun Benz whips up authentic Thai dishes using whatever is freshest from the local markets and the local fishermen’s daily catch. Guests can book private cooking classes with Chef Benz (or for groups of up to six people). For a really unique dining experience, dad can have a meal in the property’s exclusive treepod, where guests are seated in a bamboo pod and hosted up into the tropical foliage of the ancient rainforest, gazing out across the shoreline as they savor gourmet meals, delivered via the zip-line acrobatics of a personal waiter.
