Street Style Inspiration - Winter Coats

Street style inspiration is a fabulous (and easily accessible) way to see how the newest fashion trends are being worn in real life. Checking out street style stars and personal style bloggers’ take on new fashion trends is great for sparking fresh ideas about how to coordinate different pieces and for discovering which fashion trends women are embracing.

It’s one thing to be inspired by your favorite magazine or a famous celebrity; it’s completely different to take style notes from real women all over the world. Top personal style bloggers not only demonstrate impeccable style, but they’re completely relatable too, which is why fans everywhere love them.

Street Style Inspiration – Winter Coats

In this edition of Street Style Inspiration, we’ll talk about how four popular personal style bloggers (from Gal Meets Glam, Atlantic-Pacific, Stripes & Sequins, and Cupcakes & Cashmere) are wearing winter coats this season, and show you how to get the look.

1. Gal Meets Glam: Hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area, Julia of Gal Meets Glam loves mixing high-low pieces to create her trademark “preppy with pizazz” look. This Northern California darling is known for her friendly smile, shiny hair, and head-turning ensembles. In this look, she sported a bold red trench coat, coordinated with a red pullover sweater, flared jeans, a leopard crossbody bag, aviator sunglasses, and black booties.

2. Atlantic-Pacific: Heralded for her designer duds and impeccable taste, Blair of Atlantic-Pacific makes getting dressed for the day a major event. Her signature sunglasses, coifed blond hair, and aspirational outfits make her one of the most recognizable personal style bloggers online right now. When it comes to winter coats, comfort and warmth are of the utmost importance. That’s why Blair opted to wear a cozy blue puffer coat when she sported cropped fitted pants, Mary Janes, and sunglasses.

3. Stripes & Sequins: In addition to being the Social Media Manager for the trendy (and uber-affordable) jewelry line, BaubleBar, Grace of Stripes & Sequins is the quintessential “girl next door” who happens to enjoy DIY projects, fashion, and a little sparkle. Her likable personality, effervescent way of communicating with followers, and creative DIY ideas makes her blog a site worth bookmarking. Opting for glammed-up neutrals, she wore a wool color-blocked car coat with a gray t-shirt, boyfriend jeans, pale pink pumps, sparkly statement necklace and bedazzled bracelet, and a black satchel.

4. Cupcakes & Cashmere: After getting her start in the media industry (working at Teen Vogue), Emily of Cupcakes & Cashmere decided to leave the world of glossy publications to become a full-time blogger. Having garnered the respect of her peers, the accolades of her loyal fans, and the coveted partnerships of the world’s most notable brands (like Estee Lauder), she went on to publish her first book, titled Cupcakes & Cashmere, which includes style tips, entertaining ideas, and DIY projects. Although a lot of winter coats tend to be dark colored, white and ivory hues are a refreshing and uplifting way to rock a coat this season. In this look, she went for a winter white double breasted coat paired with a pink crossover skirt, white leather pumps, a structured tan leather bag, gray v-neck sweater, and cat eye sunglasses.
