Shopbevel

Ever wish you could find unique costume jewelry from independent designers at a fraction of the cost? Now you can!

A new community-based website called Shopbevel works with independent designers to bring to market the best in jewelry design. Designers submit designs, the community votes and Shopbevel manufactures and markets selected winners. The folks at Shopbevel “believe every jewelry designer should have the opportunity to be discovered and we work to create a community to make that possible”.

Founded by Courtney McColgan, her vision was to create a platform to connect emerging designers with a growing worldwide audience of prospective customers. She developed this revolutionary site after realizing the challenges that many independent designers faced in getting their pieces in the hands of potential buyers. Her goal was simple – help emerging designers grow their businesses, while giving customers the opportunity to find unique jewelry (at a significantly reduced price). The site brings together designers from all over the globe – ranging from places like California and New York, all the way to Greece.

The way they work is a 5-step process. Designers submit designs, which are then voted on by the community. The community-members are then able to pre-order the winning designs (at an ‘early adopter’ price). After a short lead-time of 4-6 weeks, the pieces are produced (at the Shopbevel production facility) and shipped to the customers. The designers whose pieces were selected for production earn a 15% commission on sales. So, it’s a win-win for both designers and customers.

That’s not all… Shopbevel is offering Inspirations & Celebrations readers 25% OFF by using Code BBSTUDS (valid through July 31, 2013). If you’re on the hunt for stunning studs, classic hoops, or bold bracelets, check out the wide assortment of jewelry on Shopbevel. And make sure to get in on all the voting fun!
